Self-hosted sandboxes

CloudThinker, on your own machine.

Keep using CloudThinker in your browser, on a laptop or a phone. The agent runs in CloudThinker Cloud, and a Worker runs its files and shell commands in a folder you pick.

  • Outbound HTTPS only
  • No inbound ports
  • Credentials stay in the cloud
How it works

Three steps, then pick it under Run in.

  1. 1

    Create a Worker

Open Admin settings, then Sandboxes, and give the Worker a name, like my-laptop.

  2. 2

Run one command in your folder

CloudThinker shows the command. The Worker passes its file, shell, cancellation, and artifact checks, then goes Online.

  3. 3

    Pick it under Run in

In any chat, open +, choose Run in, and pick your Worker. CloudThinker now works in that folder.

Where each part runs

Ask from anywhere. The work runs in your folder.

You keep using CloudThinker on the web, on a laptop or a phone. The Worker does the local part, and it only needs the cloudthinker CLI.

Security

The Worker only connects out.

Outbound HTTPS only

The Worker asks CloudThinker for work over HTTPS. Nothing connects in to your machine.

No inbound ports

There is no listener to run and no port to open.

A key for this Worker only

Each Worker gets its own credential, scoped to that one Worker.

Credentials stay in the cloud

Connection commands run in the CloudThinker managed sandbox, so their credentials never reach your machine.

A shell command on a Worker runs with the access of the OS account that started it. Pick that account with care.

Use cases

Your laptop, a server, or a CI runner.

Your laptop, from your phone

Leave the Worker running at home. On the train, pick it from your phone, and CloudThinker fixes the failing test on your laptop.

A shared build server

Share a Worker with your workspace. Keep one to yourself under Mine, or let the team use it under Workspace.

Automations on a CI runner

Set Run in on an automation, and it works on a shared Worker every time it runs.

Your own repo, your own rules

CloudThinker reads the AGENTS.md at the folder root and the Skills under .agents/skills.

Questions

What people ask first.

Get started

Put CloudThinker on your own machine.

Create a Worker in Admin settings, then Sandboxes. Leave it running, and pick it from any chat.
